This Intentional Exploration dives deeper into self-discovery with two extensive and essential practices in self-understanding, compassion, and self-“work” which leads to the freedom of practiced and regular peace.
The term “shadow-work” is trending - but what does it mean? Rooted in Jungian Psychology; 'the shadow' (often also called the 'id'), refers to the parts of yourself, perhaps in your subconscious, that your conscious-self does not choose to 'identify' with. When left in the dark & unexamined, these parts of us still exist, operate, and often direct our actions and decisions. In order to feel the peace that comes when we are confident in our responses rather than reactive, we must understand the id's moves and motives. We must dance with our shadow to bring it to light. Once we do the work of seeing and understanding our shadow - we have to now learn to accept it - a task that both requires and expands a sense of peace. Accepting all of you takes practice. Understanding the internal blockages that may be challenging you from fully accessing or allowing yourself to emerge and be seen takes a habit of repeated articulation and acceptance made easier when done with others. In these sessions you will be guided through the art of finding the peace to accept and articulate yourself and the peace in seeing and sharing your whole self.
